Rundle Vista Description
Welcome to a uniquely designed private home that is set high on a mountain near the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. As you drive up to Rundle Vista, you will be flanked with gorgeous mountains views on all sides. You will begin to wonder why you didn't break away from regular life and come here sooner.
There are many features to fall in love with at Rundle Vista. There are four bedrooms, plus a loft area, which offer plenty of sleeping options for travelling families. Each of the four bedrooms has it's own glass tiled ensuite bathroom. The bedrooms are spread out in the house over 3 levels to provide the maximum amount of separation and privacy at bedtime. When it comes time to enjoy dinner, drinks, or a fire, the living spaces are all quite grand. The house is large enough for family gatherings or corporate retreats, yet intimate in scale for smaller groups. Just a few of the unique touches include reclaimed maple flooring, imported Italian door hardware, heated en suite floors, quarter-sawn white oak cabinetry, and an indoor rock and bouldering climbing area!
Property Highlights
→ Two large south-facing balconies overlooking local mountains
→ Large BBQ and outdoor wood-burning fireplace with panoramic mountain views.
→ Fully stocked gourmet kitchen, including staple food items
→ Indoor rock climbing wall
→ 4 Bedrooms, each with en suite Bathrooms
→ 2-Car Garage
→ 2 Flat screen HD Smart TVs
→ Ping Pong Table, Foosball Table
→ In suite Washer/Dryer with laundry supplies
→ A selection of board games and books for your enjoyment
Main Level: When you enter the home, the large foyer leads into the open concept kitchen/dining area with reclaimed maple hardwood flooring throughout. Step a few feet past the foyer, and your eyes are immediately drawn to the Dining Room Fireplace and Reading Nook. It's the perfect place to curl up and watch someone else making dinner. Perhaps they will bring you a drink while you pore over a Canadian Rockies Guidebook and plan you great mountain adventure. For those that love to cook, the fully-equipped kitchen features everything you need to prepare the perfect meal: double ovens, gas 5-burner cooktop, side-by-side refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave oven. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you never knew you needed. Your Dining Companions can enjoy a quick bite to eat at the eat-in bar or sit down for a grander meal at the dining room table. The custom kitchen features quarter-sawn white oak cabinets and top-of-the-line appliances. Don’t forget to turn on the gas wall fireplace to set the mood while enjoying dinner!
Just beyond the kitchen is (what we call ) the "Great Room". River Rock Gas Fireplace, floor to ceiling windows, and enough seating space for everyone to get comfortable while you connect with close family members and longtime friends. There is a large screen TV available if you can pull your eyes away from the incredible and panoramic mountain views.
Step outside the Great Room, and it's time to fire up the Gas Barbecue. Be careful not to let that amazing Alberta Beef get too well done -- it's easy to lose track of grilling with the mountains towering all around. If you're chilly and want to be outside a while longer, throw a few logs on the exterior wood fireplace. Or lounge on the outdoor couch while you wistfully wonder why you don't live in the mountains full time.
Upper Level: Eventually, it will be time for bed. The upper level features a grand master bedroom with walk-in closet and an indoor balcony which looks onto the 3-story indoor rock climbing area. The ensuite bathroom features a walk-in shower with glass enclosure and double vanities. At the end of your day of hiking/skiing/golfing, enjoy a soak in the jetted soaker tub while enjoying the mountain view prior to climbing into the queen size bed. You’ll wish you could stay forever.
The upper level is also home to Bedroom 2, featuring an ensuite bathroom, large closet and queen bed. And just around the corner is the Loft Area with Single Bed, and the exterior door to the Upper Level Balcony. Don't forget to take some pictures from this vantage point before you head home. They are even more spectacular than the views you've been enjoying on the Main Level.
We are big fans of working remotely because it allows our Guests to travel more often. The upper level has a large desk. The entire home has highspeed wireless internet. Your colleagues won't know that you were preparing the TPS Report while staring at mountains, or that you only worked for a couple hours and then went skiing or white water rafting. We won't tell them, but they might notice that your smile is much bigger on those Zoom Calls.
Lower Level: If you are travelling with kids, they will love the lower level! The lower level is the ultimate sleepover area! It features a bunk room with 3 single beds, two double futons and two single futons, ensuite bathroom, media room, ping pong table, foosball table and access to the 3-story indoor rock climbing area, with bouldering wall*. For entertaining, enjoy use of the large wet bar to mix your favorite cocktails, or pour a glass of wine.
*The bouldering area can be locked off so curious kids can look, but not touch. Children must be supervised when using the climbing area.
